Interesting Facts About Beeswax wax.

There are lots of companies that use beeswax in skin care product formulations.  It is molecularly too large to be absorbed.  That means it sits on the surface of your skin creating a barrier.  This makes it nice for wind protection.  It is also used to harden other fomulations.  Most oils, lipids and butters are soft at room temperature.  Beeswax is added to harden these.  It has a very high melting point which is what makes it a stabilizer.

Queen Bee doesn’t actually use much beeswax (except for romantic candles).  We like to stick with things that soften and really manifest a change in the hydration of the skin.  The bees don’t seem to mind though.  They just keep buzzing!  Got a question or comment?  Give us a buzz:  970-316-buzz (2899)
