There are many types of sunscreen products requires that the options are amazing! Take a look the next time you shop and find that sunscreen products are waterproof and sweat. Some are designed specifically for children and others are specially formulated for athletes. Sunscreen products are available in creams, lotions, oils, tanners and bronzers. But what these figures? The sun protection factor or SPF, ranging from a minimum of 2 to a maximum of 50 and sometimes more. Most of us understand that the fund has something to do with protection against harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun. But beyond the numbers is a mystery. What is SPF?The SPF is a comparison between the time it takes before the skin starts to redden with and without sunscreen. In addition, the SPF only refers to UVB rays, those that tanning cause but also sunburn. For example, if you have 20 minutes to a person’s skin to burn without sunscreen, then an SPF of 15 means that when applied, that person may be in the sun 15 times longer, or up to 5 hours without worry about burning. The higher the SPF, the more protection it offers, but only so far. SPF higher than 15 offer only small increments of additional protection. And the theory behind the SPF.In reality, however, regardless of SPF becomes less effective when it is not uniformly applied, a person enters the water and a person sweats. Water and perspiration reduce the effectiveness of the product, so it is very important to reapply sunscreen frequently. In addition to reapply for maximum efficiency, the first application should arrive 20 minutes before going out in the sun. Doing so gives plenty of time to allow the product to fully absorb into the skin. It also ensures you’re covered when you leave.SPF is right for me?For most people, sunscreen with a sun protection factor of 15 ensures adequate protection, and reapply often. However, people with sensitive skin will benefit from a higher SPF. People who are fair skinned with light hair color or red or traveling to high altitude or some tropical destination will also benefit from a higher SPF. Those with dark skin and usually does not burn easily and need only a mild SPF. Remember that when choosing a higher SPF does not offer more protection – it offers longer protection.Other forms of sun protection productsThe self-tanners and bronzers are safer ways to color of their skin because the skin is exposed to ultraviolet radiation on the damage that the time of skin cells. These products offer no protection against the sun unless the label specifies otherwise in the registration of a sun protection factor. But remember that a sun protection factor corresponds to a period of time and therefore, even if the product offers protection against the sun, it will not last until you remove the product within days.
